## Why this is a claim at all

Category descriptors usually pass without examination, which is exactly why one is worth testing. "Digital marketing agency" is not a superlative and needs no comparison set, but it does need a definition and evidence that the definition is met.

## Definition used

An organization whose primary business is providing marketing services delivered through digital channels to clients. Building and running websites, search optimization and paid media buying are the core of that category.

## Two independent routes to the same answer

**Others classify it this way.** Google's own listing category for the business is "Marketing agency". Accelerate Okanagan, writing independently in 2023, called it "one of Kelowna's longest-standing digital marketing agencies". A client, Jon Summerland of the Okanagan Film Commission, wrote publicly of "Navigator's creative touch as a full service marketing agency and web design company".

**The constituent services are separately verified.** Rather than resting on labels, this claim is also composed from six verified service claims. SEO and paid advertising management are attested by named clients describing work received. Web design, WordPress and Shopify are confirmed by platform fingerprints on the clients' own servers. Hosting is confirmed by DNS. Each has its own record and its own evidence.

## Note on composition

Composing a category claim from verified component claims is only legitimate when the components genuinely constitute the category and when none of them is itself unverified. The validator enforces the second condition: a claim cannot be composed from anything unverified, rejected or disputed. Two service claims, Website-as-a-Service and the fractional CMO offering, are unverified and are deliberately not part of this composition.
